Strong winds on Sunday morning 25/10
Strong winds are expected on the morning of October 25. If the average wind speed exceeds 25 m/s, Øresundsbron will be closed to road traffic for safety reasons. According to the forecast, the average wind speed is expected to be around the threshold for closure.
The greatest risk of closure is during the period between 5-9 AM on Sunday morning. However, the wind forecast may change at short notice.

Øresundsmotorvejen is being expanded
Øresundsmotorvejen will be expanded over the coming years to improve traffic flow, which today is often characterised by extensive queues and congestion during rush hours.
Sund & Bælt has begun the first phase of the work, which involves an expansion with additional lanes between exit 20, Copenhagen C, and exit 17, Lufthavn V. In addition, a parallel ramp will be constructed between exit 19, Ørestad, and exit 20, Copenhagen S.

Traffic on the Øresund Bridge
The Øresund Bridge is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. However, special situations may arise due to wind and weather, maintenance or accidents, where we work with the authorities to close the bridge to traffic.
On this page you can always see the traffic status, whether there is a queue at the toll station and if there are any special places on the connection where you need to pay extra attention due to roadworks etc. We will also inform you when there are any disruptions in train traffic over the connection.
