The Bridge Run 2025 is one of the highlights of the 25th anniversary of the Øresund bridge, where 40,000 runners will run from Denmark to Sweden.

Traffic restrictions on the Øresund Bridge are necessary to maintain a high level of safety for both road users and runners.

The Øresund bridge advises against all unnecessary traffic across the bridge between 06:00 and 17:00 on June 15. Train passengers and road users are encouraged to travel at other times - and that those who must drive should allow extra time to cross the bridge.

Road traffic on the bridge:

The capacity of the Øresund bridge is limited during the 2025 Bridge Race on June 15, and customers are advised to drive before 6am or after 5pm if possible. For all those who need to drive during the race, the bridge will be open during the period 06-17 with reduced capacity, reduced speed and extended travel time.

At 09:30-13:30, the traffic impact is expected to be greatest due to one-way traffic in the tunnel, which means it will be open alternately in each direction for periods of approximately 15 minutes. For the rest of the stretch, there will be two-way traffic in two of the bridge's four lanes.

Follow the traffic situation at øresundsbron.com/trafficinfo and via traffic radio.

Train traffic over the bridge:

Train traffic across the Øresund bridge will run according to the regular timetable on June 15. However, between 05:00 and 09:00, thousands of runners will travel by Øresund train and buses to the start area in Tårnby, close to Copenhagen Airport. Therefore, other travel between 05-09 is not recommended if possible. Anyone traveling over the bridge between 06-17 should expect an extended travel time.

Road closures in Tårnby, Kastrup and Malmö:

The traffic situation is affected in the start and finish area, along the route and at transportation hubs in connection with the race. This includes the area around Øresundsparken in Tårnby, the Sibbarp area in Malmö and the train stations Hyllie and Copenhagen Airport.

The bridge team advises against all unnecessary traffic in these areas. Longer travel times by metro, bus, train and car are expected in these areas.
